1st Honeymoon: Day 2 (Camel Riding & Dinner in the Desert)

After the dune bashing, the desert safari convoy stopped at the Arabian Adventures campsite in the desert. We saw camels being lined up waiting to give us a ride. Being the kiasus we are, we rushed ahead of the pack to get a camel.
I didn't get the name of the camel we rode on, I was searching on google for some camel names and just found out that Arabs give one single camel a different name for each year of their life. Too much of a hassle, I considered calling this guy Abdul, but then again Paula Abdul not American Idol's judge this season.
I'm gonna call him Apuh instead, you know the Indian guy from The Simpsons who owns the Kwik-E mart.
The campsite is runned by Arabian Adventures staff, even the camel herders, we saw living quarters at the campsite, they might all be part of a local tribe hired by the tour agency.

Meet Apuh
My mouth is covered by a mouth guard so I can't give this guy a big wet camel kiss :(
He's kinda camera shy. Oh yah, is it a he or a she?
We had to get up on the camel's back on our own, Agnes being the shorter one get to sit in front, I almost sprained myself trying to stretch my legs to get on Apuh. The camel herder told us to hold on as Apuh got up to full height.
There's no seat belts?
What's the emergency procedure if we fall off?
The getting down part is quite scary. Apuh folded the front legs in so we were almost thrown forward but there's people in front catching us to make sure we don't fall off. Should have just installed dual air bags. But its a nice ride, just short of a subwoofer and a GPS system.

Thanks Apuh for the ride!
If your mouth wasn't all tied up, I'd have fed you some freshly picked grass as a reward.

We be dining in tents
We then headed into the campsite where there's food and drinks prepared for us. They served Arabic tea then we could have sisha and get our dinner. Dinner was all arabic food, kebab and stuff. Our driver Roshin got us seats facing the center of the stage where there'll be a belly dance performance later. This part of the desert safari tour let us experience what it is like to live in the desert, there's even a tour where you can stay in the desert for a night, either in tents or in huts, but the wife of course won't want to try that one.

They served free flow of wine
