1st Honeymoon: Day 2 (Atlantis, the Palm Hotel)

On the 2nd day of our Honeymoon, we checked out of the Pullman Hotel after having breakfast and headed to the Atlantis Hotel, situated at the Palm. We'll be staying here for 1 night.

Entrance to the Atlantis Hotel

The huge hotel lobby

The Atlantis Hotel is uniquely themed after the lost ancient civilisation of Atlantis. Alot of corals design on the walls and pillars so much so that it reminds me of Disney's Little Mermaid. Was she Atlantean? I think she is lah, after the Atlantis got submerged into the sea the humans evolved into merman and mermaid.

The corridor to our room
We were amazed by the view from the room balcony
There's a big swimming pool and a beach
This hotel is purely for relaxation, there's a bicycle and jogging track

We got a huge bathroom, we can see the beach area from the bathroom, although we shower with the windows closed
After all the excitement from seeing the bedroom, we headed down to the hotel lobby where there's a big underwater aquarium.

A mini underwater world at the hotel's lobby

This diver is hired to even out the sand and clean the aquarium glass
Every day can see divers cleaning up the aquarium, some hotels don't even bother to keep their rooms clean to that extend.

In staying at the Atlantis Hotel, we get free passes to the Lost Chambers Aquarium. Which is a underwater world in the Hotel itself. They designed the place like some under water alien or ancient civilisation city.
Looks like an enormous egg or something
There were statues of some ugly aliens, like those from X-com terror from the deep
Not so tough are you hah

There's this huge Queensland grouper, said to be one of the biggest fish around
It's really big and lazy, stay at the same spot all the time. I wonder how it tastes bbq'ed
I dunno what that is or what I'm doing
Next we headed to the outdoor areas of the Atlantis Hotel. To plan what activities we'll be doing the next day.
Taking a stroll down the beach

In front of the Atlantis Hotel

We were staying at the 5th floor on the right side of the building, can see from here the one with the open windows. We found out that the standard rooms are situated at the right side of the building. The rooms on the left building I think more expensive. The center where there's a bridge connecting the two buildings there's a bridge suite which is like damn huge.
They also have an underwater suite where the room has a complete view of the underwater aquarium. If I'm not mistaken it costs USD 10k, for a valentines day package to stay in this room. We don't want lah, sleep with fishes looking at us, where got privacy like that. Like can afford like that.

There's a dolphin park where people can swim and play with the dolphins. Agnes don't want she scared of all living creatures. I actually want to try out, but then I remembered that dolphins are damn horny. There's a youtube video where the dolphin jumped on a woman and started humping her. After see their 'equipment' quite big, I also don't want already.

Next we checked out the water park which is one of the attractions at the Atlantis

The water slides here are fun, there's like 8 or 9 different rides with various heights and scariness factor. The tallest one is the one in the center, this one slide down without the use of an inflated tire. The slide angle almost vertical and it goes down through an underwater tube where you can see fishes in a small aquarium.

Since we came all the way here I decided die die also must try the next day. We didn't bring our camera when we played on the water park so there's no video of me taking this slide down. I think I scream quite loud until everone see. Agnes say should go back to the room to get the camera then take a video of me down the slide, but I confirm don't want to try anymore. I scream until water get into my nose.

The five storey high slide
We only tried all of the water slides once, because we came in here early in the morning and the water was freezing cold. Somemore go up the stairs to the top very tiring one, have to carry those rubber tires along also.
