The Premarital Counselling: Survey

To have a pastor bless us on our wedding day, we needed to be a congregation of a particular church, need to be baptised in water and have proof that we have not been married before.

Ps. Daniel and Mrs Stella from Pondok Agape, Kelapa Gading have graciously agreed to do our wedding matrimony and provide premarital counselling sessions together with Ps. Nick Penders of The Ark, Tanjung Duren. In order for Ps. Daniel and Mrs Stella to get to know us better, we had to fill in a survey so as to know our thoughts on marriage.
Some of the interesting questions are as follows:

Q. What do you think is the purpose of dating?
A. To get to know each other, to understand each other and cover each other's weaknesess.
D. Dating is a process where we can get to better know our partner before we take the relationship to another level.

Q. How many time did you change dating partners? Why?
A. 3-4. times, haven't found the right one. (Most probably got more than that)
D. 2 times, wasn't that serious at that time and have not entered a relationship that's matured enough. (The 1st girlfriend was a girl in primary 3 where we call each other boyfriend and girlfriend while playing catching. I'm pathetic).

Q. Would you prefer to have different dating partners before marriage or just one? Why?
A. I would prefer to have dated different type of people with different characters so as to understand what I am ultimately looking for.
D. Dating different partners would be more preferred because each person is unique in character, habbits and upbringing and getting to know each one is a challenge in itself.

Q. When did you think was the most enjoyable part of the dating process?
A. When we're going for holidays overseas. because we get to spend everyday and every moment together to really get to know each other better. We also usually travel free and easy so we have to depend on ourselves.
D. The most enjoyable part or moments where when we were just enjoying each others company no matter what we're doing at that time. 

Q. What is your idea of romance? 
A. To respect each other, understanding each other and caring for each other.
D. Acting romantic when a date is organised well, with nice ambience, well dressed up and nice location.

Q. What is the proof that you really love your partner?
A. Can accept him as who he is, all his bad habits don't seem to be that bad in my eyes and I wish him to be a successful person.
D. Accepting her for whoever she is.

A. He never feels jealous because he feels he's incomparable
