The Invitation: Selecting a Design

Selecting a design for our invitation cards is a tedious task. The final outcome has fit the the following criteria:

1. Unique in design, we want a card that fits our personality and different from other cards that we so often see.
2. Has to be a shade of red, in accordance to old folks superstition that red must be present in any wedding.
3. Not too costly, try to save as much as possible on the cards, because it will ultimately become trash.
4. Not too bulky, we gonna try save some trees for the world
5. The card has to have our personal touch to it, we didn't want our photos on the card as they'll be put in the bin. The trophy insignia we came up with accomplished this.
6. As unique our designs would be, we still would need to get approval from the more conservative expectations of our parents, hence a balance between traditional colour designs and modern creativity.

First we looked up a few samples from some vendors:

Passport Design

A postcard design
Theatre Tickets
Premiere Ticket
Coupon Type Designs
Movie Clipper
Movie Poster
Some of the sample invitations are very creatively done, the movie poster one is cool, now we just have to choose one design that we like and customise it to our liking.

  1. I believe what you published made a lot of sense.
But, consider this, suppose you composed a catchier title?
I am not suggesting your information is not good.
, but suppose you added a title that grabbed a person's attention? I mean "The Invitation: Selecting a Design" is a little boring. You might peek at Yahoo's front page and see how they create news titles to grab people interested.

You might add a video or a picture or two to grab readers interested
about what you've got to say. Just my opinion, it could bring your website a little livelier.
